For art we had to make a script for the stop motion movie were making. We are in groups but everyone had to write there own individual script. Today we had to also be in a pair and edit each others work.

Here's my writing:

A few nights ago a family of 6 went to the red rose

to go out because they don’t normally go out

at night with the kids.

Before this night they had never been to the

red rose before and they wanted to see what it’s like.

One reason why they went is because they

heard good things from their other friends and family that had already been there.

When they walked into the red rose building they thought it was really nice, and pretty warm compared to the weather outside.

They went to the cashier to see if they can get a table that has enough room for all of them.

After they got their table, they all looked at the menu and thought of what they were going to get. When they were finished looking at the menu the waiter came and took the order.

After the waiter went away to tell the cooks on what to make, the mum got kind of nervous because something was on her mind about the meal but she didn’t want to tell anyone yet. 

Because they ordered a bit of food to feed their big family.

It took quite a while for there food to come out and when they were sitting they could see the cooks
making the food. The kids started talking to the cooks about the meal because

where they were sitting in the restaurant had a window where the customers could see the food cooking.

The mum was still really nervous about paying for the meal and she felt like she needed to tell someone.

20 minutes later the food came out and the mum finally

told her family why she was acting strange. She told them

because at the time she didn’t have enough money to pay

for what they ordered because it came to $43 and she only had $40 she could spend.

The kids didn’t realise what was going on so they were just acting the same but the dad was also really nervous now and they didn’t know what to do.

They didn’t want to tell the staff their mistake but they

also didn’t want to lie about it.

After 5-10 minutes of deciding what to do they decided it would be better

if they did the right thing and told the staff the mistake they made.

They were both really nervous and asked if they could see the waiter.

When the waiter came over they told her what happened and how they were really nervous.

They thought the waiter would be mad at frustrated at them but she wasn’t really at all.

The waiter said you could come back and pay

the extra $3 or they could ask for her bank details and just get the $3 out of her bank.

She chose to come back when she had the money to pay for the rest of the food.

CIP week 1

Today in CIP we made a kindness animation to show how some people show kindness, I only had a hour and a bit to do it because I was late to school. Here is what I made in that time.

Art

In art we are making a movie, we could choose to use whiteboard or clay. My group chose clay, also the people in my group are Jessica, Haylee and Shalizeh. The type of movie we are working on is stop motion. What our movie is about is, that a family goes to a restaurant and the mum didn't have the money to pay it.

Before lunch today Jessica and I were working on moulding the clay into people and the foo were making. When we were doing that Haylee and Shalizeh were working on the background for the movie. Jessica and I still have a bit to do but we've done a lot as well.

We are making this to show Manaakitanga, we are showing it by putting hospitality in our movie. How we showed hospitality was that the mum didn't have enough to pay for the meal and the staff let her have 2 options of paying it later.

CIP week 10

This week is the last week of CIP this term and we had to answer some questions about what we did. The questions are about what we did all term and what passions we did.

What have we been looking at? Why have we been learning this? 

All this term we have been learning about kindness. We made cards for people the first week, the week I was away the class made pink shirt day posters, and a lot of other kind stuff. We also made letters to staff members that are not class teachers to say thanks for what they do for the classes. I remember we also made a poster about gratitude.

What passion did you participate in?Tell us what you did during these sessions? Did you enjoy it?

I was going to do gym sports but at that time when we first started this term the teachers were worried because I wasn't using my inhaler for my asthma when i was supposed to. The teachers said if I get better using my inhaler when I needed to I might be able to do gym sports next term if that's still going. The other passions I really didn't want to do, and I think I've gotten better with my asthma this term than last term. So I'm going to see if I can do gym sports next term because I really wanted to do it this term.

What passion would you like to see us offer next term?

I think gym sports because I really like to do sports and I think it would be fun. Or another sport passion that we just do one sport, like football or another sport like that.
